EXERCISE : 75 minutes cycling
ALCOHOL : Nil

Boo! I seem to have acquired a pound. Damn & Blast. Oh well, early days.

It was weird going to sleep last night without the buzz of alcohol going through my head. I'm hardly the best person in the world at getting to sleep and alcohol has always been an aide to me surmounting this. It was hard going without my sleep-inducing friend. I have an extremely busy mind - not that I solve any world issues, it's just the crap in my life constantly revolving through my mind.

I was hoping to cycle four days this week as opposed to my usual three but I remembered I'm blood donating on Thursday, plus I've got to get home at a reasonable time as I'm helping a few guys from scouts move a marquee before the England game. Got a really busy week now - football training and a meeting on Friday, the village show (I'm running the beaver scout's "tuck shop" for an hour) and a party on Saturday, then a church parade on Sunday. I've got to wear full uniform for the parade. My wife says I look smart in my uniform, but I just feel horribly self-consious.
