One middle-aged man's latest desperate attempt to shed the pounds and return to fitness
Day Seven

WEIGHT : 240 pounds (4 pounds lost)
EXERCISE : Bit of walking
ALCOHOL : Two pints of lager, small glass red wine

Well, I haven't exactly shook the drinking, have I? Had a pub lunch as well. Again, I'm making excuses in that I've had an extremely busy weekend, and just needed to treat myself. I'm going to push myself a little harder in the forthcoming week, and I don't have any "social occassions" until Saturday, so abstaining will hopefully be a little easier. Happy to have lost four pounds, my target this week is to get up to half a stone lost. Not much exercise besides a walk around the village with my son, and one of his friends whom we picked up halfway round. Had to go to a church service due to my involvement with cubs. I'm not religious in any respect (although I am open-minded) but it was okay and the singing was enjoyable, plus I felt very humble in the presence of a handful of veterans from the second world war.
